The Disney Event Services page noted this upcoming Disney Dooney & Bourke handbag debut and signing from Dooney & Bourke Creative Director Ian Ray. These gorgeous “Retro Collection” bags were designed by the talented Susan Foy. LOVE her designs! Check out the info below and click to enlarge all photos:

Dooney & Bourke collectors and Disney fans, the wait is over! A couple of new collections are set to debut May 12 at Disney Vault 28 at the Disneyland Resort.

First up, is the Retro collection, this new line will be available in a variety of popular silhouettes including a wristlet, mini barrel, tassel tote, satchel, letter carrier as well as an iPad case. Prices range from $78 – $268.

The Retro collection, which will remain exclusive to the Disneyland Resort, is sure to be hit with Disney guests. “The word ‘Retro’ is certainly the best and most accurate way to describe this collection,” says Susan Foy, Disney Design Group Graphic Designer. “From the attraction, character and icon choices to the distinct color palette, it really gave us a great opportunity to incorporate a lot of detail into such an intricate design.” I asked Susan what her favorite icon was from the print, and her response was simple, “Sleeping Beauty Castle, because it was created first and really set the tone for how the rest of it would lay out.” When it’s said and done, there’s almost something magical when you think about it that way.

Another collection debuting the same day on both coasts (at Tren D and Disney Vault 28) is “Buttons.” So make plans now to stop by Disney Vault 28 on May 12 and pick up some of this year’s must have accessories from Dooney & Bourke.

Special Note: Creative Director for Dooney & Bourke, Ian Ray will be on hand from 2pm – 5pm for a special appearance and signing of these new collections.

NEW EXCLUSIVE Disney Fantasy Inaugural Dooney & Bourke Bags-Gorgeous!

I think these might be my favorite designs yet. They are completely different from the front-and-center Disney designs we’ve seen in the past, and in fact, I think if people didn’t look closely, they might not even see that these are Disney branded. I love the almost tattoo-like designs for the Disney Fantasy. Hopefully some day I’ll make it on the ship myself to pick one up.

The new collection is making its grand debut on the Maiden Voyage of the Disney Fantasy later this month. The collection, which will remain exclusive to the Disney Fantasy until later this summer, is sure to be hit with Disney Fantasy guests. “The new collection will be exclusive to the Disney Fantasy until later this summer when it will spread to the rest of the fleet,” explained Laura Caszatt, product developer for Accessories. “To make the new collection even more enticing for Disney Fantasy guests, the select collection silhouettes on the Disney Fantasy will feature leather embossed luggage tags that showcases it was part of the Inaugural Disney Fantasy Voyages.”

In addition, the Disney Parks Blog revealed that a new line will be coming out for the Disney Cruise Line Hawaiian sailings. For those that want a subtle Disney theme with a more recognizably nautical look:

Disney World Princess Half Marathon Dooney & Bourke Bags!

2014 Edit: Here are the 2014 Princess Half Marathon Disney Dooney & Bourke bags!

UPDATE: I was just in TrenD last night at Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World, and was surprised to see a Princess Half bag on the shelf. I noticed there wasn’t a Princess Half Marathon hang tag on it, so we asked to see it up close and sure enough, it’s the same bag as below, without the special WDW Princess Half Marathon hanging charm. The cast member said they just arrived and as of last night, that was the only style they had in the Princess print. Interesting! Not sure if they just had a few left over or if they will be releasing all the styles in this print soon. I will of course, report more as I find out. Here are the photos I took last night:

They again feature a Half Marathon logo hanging tag like the Tinker Bell Half Marathon did. I love the college-look to the design and the color scheme as well. Tinker Bell Disney Dooney & Bourke Bags to Debut at Disneyland Half Marathon

Ok, now it’s bad enough that Disneyland’s inaugural 1/2 Marathon has a Tinker Bell theme and I will not be able to attend (or run for that matter!) but now DisneyParks Blog has just announced that a new Disney Dooney & Bourke bags with the Tink design will also debut for the weekend! Torture, I tell ya!

Here’s what we know so far:

It looks like there are three styles, all previously released – the Medium Tote will be $198, Letter Carrier will be $168 and Flap Wristlet will be $49. The Art of Disney Parks site notes that these purses will feature the special inaugural Disneyland 1/2 Marathon hanging tags – the green tag shown in the photos. This is the first time the name of an event will ever be placed on a Disney Dooney & Bourke bag. I personally love the design, and may have to contact my Disneyland pals to pick me up one! I may not be running THIS half marathon, but I will some day! 😉

Here is some new information about the bags:

My source tells me from their understanding they won’t be carried online at this point. Disney Dooney and Bourke Mickey Comic Strip Design Bags

I realized I had never posted about these bags, I guess because the Disney Parks Blog covered them completely and I just forgot to go back and add the photos. I like to have all the bags covered on the site, so here you go!
