I know I’m not alone in my love of some of the Disney designer collaborations that have been happening over the past few years (some for a decade – like the Disney + Dooney & Bourke 10th Anniversary that happened recently!). To celebrate our mutual love, I thought I’d put together a list of some of my favorites, to see if some of the same things catch your eye. Of course you can always share some of your favorites that I’ve missed in the comments and I can add them to the list too!

Edited to add: Now that the Friends and Family Sale is live, I have learned some of the designer collaborations are not included in the sale, like Dooney & Bourke. Sorry for any confusion, I didn’t know that when I was sent this info…But I have found some D&B bags that are on sale, so I’ve updated this post to share the ones that are currently on sale, and of course, any of the links will take you to ShopDisney where you can search for your favorites to stock up on during the sale, whether it’s pajamas, plush, Funko Pops or more!

Disney Dooney & Bourke

Well let’s start with the OG collaboration – Disney Dooney & Bourke. They have come out with SO many new designs, there seems to be one for every character or film or even snack at this point! I love that there are still some of the classic original designs available too. Here are some of my newest favorites (I’ve just discovered these bags are not on sale, but they are too pretty to take down, so I’m adding some that ARE on sale at the bottom):

Disney’s Fantasia Dooney & Bourke this new design is gorgeous. I especially love the Fantasia tote design it’s such a classic look!

The Disney Dooney & Bourke Pixar collection is brand new and adorable. All your favorites on one bag with some fun pops of color.

Of course, the recently released Disney Park Life design is a new and instant classic. All your favorite Disney park icons on a bright pink bag, it will definitely put a smile on your face. Disney Loungefly

The Disney Loungefly designs have been some of my favorite, they really are so creative, sometimes it’s just a pattern of characters or items you know and love, other times, it’s more of a “Disney Bounding” design, where the purse or wallet will look like the character it represents. Kind of like the Loungefly Bo Peep design below. This leads to some really cool items, and lots of conversation starters when you’re in the parks (and out!).

Loungfly is mostly known for the classic Minnie Mouse sequined backpack design seen here, but they have many other fun styles too.

The Bo Peep Loungefly mini backpack is such a fun twist on her iconic look – pink and blue with “lace” trim and polka dots.

One of the newest designs is the fun Loungefly Pixar ball, in a crossbody bag. So bright and a perfect addition to a Pixar look with sequins and black accents.

Baby Yoda

Details from Disney Dooney & Bourke 10th Anniversary

This morning I was invited to cover the Disney Dooney & Bourke 10th Anniversary event, taking place at Ever After Jewelry and Accessories at Disney Springs. This was really a “full circle moment” for me as I mentioned in my previous post announcing this event, I’ve been covering these purses from the start. I couldn’t keep up with allll the new designs and styles and accessories available (if anyone wants to volunteer to be a Dooney correspondent, let me know! haha) but I felt it was important for me to be here for this event. This iconic brand really did kick off the landslide of Disney collaborations with designers, and now there are countless partnerships and collections out there, truly something for everyone and every level of Disney fan.

I covered today’s event on my Zannaland instagram story, so be sure to head over there to experience all the fun as it happened. We were lucky enough to get to see the bags and be inside the store before it opened, so I have some photos here as well. The event was so smooth and very different from the first Dooney events I used to attend, where you’d be waiting in a queue for hours. They now use a virtual queue, where you just check in with a cast member out front when you arrive, and you’ll be given a time to return. You can then roam around Disney Springs as you wait for your turn vs. standing still in a traditional queue.

I may have picked up the MagicBand for myself, because I loved that it was black and a fun pattern, and always said to myself, if I actually bought a MagicBand, it would be a Dooney & Bourke one. Mission accomplished.

Disney Dooney & Bourke 10th Anniversary Event

It’s hard to believe that the Disney + Dooney & Bourke collaboration has been going on for TEN YEARS now. I guess it’s not too hard for me, because I started Zannaland.com right before the first purse came out – the original Disney Sketch Design Bag. What a time. I remember driving up from where I lived outside of Tampa at the time, just to see this new bag and yes, buy one myself. I then began breaking news here on Zannaland whenever a new purse would be spotted, and for the various events and trunk sales that would happen at Disney Springs.

It soon became too much for me to keep up with the endless designs and new releases (as well as the Disney Parks Blog starting up, so all of the “scoops” and news was posted there first. In any event, I kept my Disney Dooney page up, in hopes that some day I would be able to properly update it with all the latest releases. However since about 6 years worth of designs have come out, I’m not sure that’ll ever be possible on my schedule. Additionally, there are so many places and personal shopping services to get these bags (along with facebook groups and eBay) that it became kind of silly for me to compete with that. The bags do hold a special place in my heart though, as they represent a “golden age of Disney blogging” haha. Simpler times. I still have a few in my own collection.

NEW D23 Expo Disney Dooney and Bourke Purse Revealed

After the exciting news a few weeks back sharing some of the unique D23 Expo merchandise (including Disney Harvey’s Seatbelt Bags), today the Disney Parks Blog revealed the newest Disney Dooney & Bourke design, which will be for sale at the Disney Dream Store during the D23 Expo, August 9-11 2013.

This new design is in black and white, featuring Mickey and Minnie in classic animated form. The style will be available in the tassel tote, cross body and pouch styles. Edit: pricing obtained for the new styles! ~~No word on pricing yet, but hopefully they will be on par with the current designs out in similar styles. As I find out more info, I will share it here. 2nd Ever Disney Dooney and Bourke Trunk Sale May 25!

Following up from my earlier post about the newest Disney Dooney & Bourke design coming out this summer, more details have been released. The new bags will be released on May 25th, along with the second ever trunk show of previously unreleased Disney Dooney designs! The last trunk show was lots of fun, and Ian Ray from Dooney and Bourke will be on hand to sign bags as well.

Here are all the details with some new photos, from the official Disney Parks blog:

…the merchandise special events team that a Dooney & Bourke release, along with a signing opportunity with Ian Ray, has been added to the calendar of events for May 2013!

Here’s a look at the new Dooney & Bourke Mickey Rainbow Letter Collection on four black silhouettes, including a large Pocket Tote ($295), Satchel ($195), Pocket Satchel ($260), and Tablet Sleeve ($90), which will be available as part of the release.

Tren-D in the Downtown Disney Marketplace at the Walt Disney World Resort will have all of these and more, on Saturday, May 25, 2013. What could be more exciting than the release of this new collection? What if I told you that on that same day, Tren-D is going to have a “Sample Sale” of some never released bags, and that Ian Ray will be on hand for a special appearance and signing opportunity from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.? It doesn’t get better than that! For those who are able to attend the release and signing, be sure to ask about a special gift with purchase. Tip: Be sure to get their early! Although Ian isn’t signing until later, the collection, along with the other bags, will be available at shop opening on the day of release.

If you like the collection, but wish it came with a white background, you’re in luck. For a limited time, beginning June 3, www.DisneyParks.com/Store will offer a Rainbow Collection Letter Carrier with a white background. But of course, it’s only available while supplies last. So don’t miss out.

Disneyland Paris Dooney & Bourke Retro Tote Bag Available Online

A friend online had visited Disneyland Paris over the summer and shared this adorable design, and now it’s available at the
DisneyStore.com. It’s kind of funny that they are using the “retro” design also used at Disneyland here in California and at Walt Disney World, since Disneyland Paris opened in 1991 and that isn’t exactly retro (I mean, I know I’m getting older, but it wasn’t THAT long ago that graduated high school 😉 ) No matter, it’s still a cute design, with bright colors and some favorite attractions at both Disneyland Paris and the Walt Disney Studios next door, in celebration of Disneyland Paris’ 20th Anniversary last month.

What do you think? Will you pick up this Disneyland Paris Tote Bag By Dooney & Bourke? I know my rule is I can’t get a location-specific design unless I’ve been there. Which is why I did not get a Disney Cruise Line Dooney until I set sail on the Dream last November (I’d been on the Magic but that was before the Dooney’s existed!) and did not feel like I could get a Disneyland retro design until my first visit to Disneyland back in 2011. (I still didn’t get one, maybe this year will be the year!). How about you? 20th Anniversary Walt Disney World Marathon Disney Dooney and Bourke Bags

Keeping up with the tradition of limited edition Disney Dooney and Bourke handbag designs for the Run Disney half marathon races, Disney has come out with a new design for the 20th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Marathon.

A blue bag with various Mickey Mouse silhouettes in different designs, this bag is less about racing icons and more about the Big Cheese himself. There is one version of Mickey in a running pose, which is what sets this design apart from previous Mickey designs. There will also be a special WDW Marathon hang tag as was on the previous RunDisney Dooney & Bourke limited edition bags. limThe pricing for the bags are: $280.00 for the Dooney & Bourke Satchel Purse and $200.00 for the Dooney & Bourke Letter Carrier Purse. The prices include tax and a non-refundable processing fee.

This time around Disney has gotten smart and set up the bags for pre-purchase at their active.com race registration site. There is a maximum 2 bag purchase per registration. Hopefully these new stipulations will ensure less eBay poachers and more fans of the bags themselves.

NEW Disney Dooney and Bourke “Buttons” and “Charms” Bags!

Correspondent Nicole Siscaretti is experiencing Disney’s “A Summer to Remember” media event and sharing all sorts of news about “What’s New, What’s Next” at Disney Parks. NEW Dark Brown Leather Disney Dooney & Bourke Sketch Design Bags

I was just given a heads up about this new Disney Dooney & Bourke style that has popped up in both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. Very similar to the dark brown leather Aulani Dooney & Bourke, which has been consistently sold out and extremely popular, this style features the original Cindy Sketch, in dark brown embossed leather design.

From what I have been told these are available at both Disneyland (Disney Clothiers and Vault 28) and Walt Disney World (TrenD and World of Disney). I will update with any further news on this design. What do you all think of this design? I think it’s a nice way to have some Disney fun, but keep it subtle!
