The Disney Event Services page noted this upcoming Disney Dooney & Bourke handbag debut and signing from Dooney & Bourke Creative Director Ian Ray. These gorgeous “Retro Collection” bags were designed by the talented Susan Foy. LOVE her designs! Check out the info below and click to enlarge all photos:

Dooney & Bourke collectors and Disney fans, the wait is over! A couple of new collections are set to debut May 12 at Disney Vault 28 at the Disneyland Resort.

First up, is the Retro collection, this new line will be available in a variety of popular silhouettes including a wristlet, mini barrel, tassel tote, satchel, letter carrier as well as an iPad case. Prices range from $78 – $268.

The Retro collection, which will remain exclusive to the Disneyland Resort, is sure to be hit with Disney guests. “The word ‘Retro’ is certainly the best and most accurate way to describe this collection,” says Susan Foy, Disney Design Group Graphic Designer. “From the attraction, character and icon choices to the distinct color palette, it really gave us a great opportunity to incorporate a lot of detail into such an intricate design.” I asked Susan what her favorite icon was from the print, and her response was simple, “Sleeping Beauty Castle, because it was created first and really set the tone for how the rest of it would lay out.” When it’s said and done, there’s almost something magical when you think about it that way.

Another collection debuting the same day on both coasts (at Tren D and Disney Vault 28) is “Buttons.” So make plans now to stop by Disney Vault 28 on May 12 and pick up some of this year’s must have accessories from Dooney & Bourke.

Special Note: Creative Director for Dooney & Bourke, Ian Ray will be on hand from 2pm – 5pm for a special appearance and signing of these new collections.

NEW Aulani Resort Disney Dooney Bags in Hawaii

Well, Disney and Dooney & Bourke have done it again. With the grand opening of Disney’s newest Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property in Oahu, Hawaii, we Disney Dooney & Bourke fans have been treated to a new design available exclusively at the Aulani resort. Thoughts? I love the color print and the muted colors in it. Actually, I would love to see one for the deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World, but I know that’s probably an extreme long-shot! In the meantime, I’ll be saving pennies to get to Aulani. Mahalo!

Those tracking Disney Dooney & Bourke auctions on ebay spotted these new styles this week. Thanks once more to Shelley C. for capturing these photos for us at Downtown Disney’s TrenD shop. Let’s see the newest Disney Dooney designs – the Gwenny Large Tote, the Large Erica and Zippered Wristlets in black and white, and red white and blue. They are canvas with leather handles and accents.

NEW Peace-Love-Mickey-Live-Laugh-Minnie Disney Dooney & Bourke Bags

On the last Disney Dooney & Bourke Balloon Design post, I mentioned there was another style – a blue denim background with writing on it – the Erica style of Dooney & Bourke’s fabric line. Thanks in part to Tonya2426 on the DIS Boards, I am able to share some more pictures with you.

EDIT: I have now been to Tren-D again and seen these new designs in person so I have a bit more to add. I tried to capture this on the picture below, but the writing on these new bags is actually raised up and has a velveteen flocked feel. I didn’t realize that in all the other pictures, so I wanted to pass that information along to those making their lists and checking them twice with these new styles that keep coming out! 🙂

This style is definitely more subtly “Disney” while being graphically trendy. I’m not a big denim person, but I can see how this would appeal to lots of teens and those that want to show their Disney love without big Mickeys everywhere. What do you think of the new style?

NEW Disney Dooney and Bourke Balloon Design Purses!

Thanks to my twitter followers for looking out for me, I was able to discover these adorable new Disney Dooney & Bourke Balloon styles!

As of now there are 6 new styles plus the snap wristlet, which was only available in white. I asked if the wristlet came in black and was told no.

The white background Balloon design is called Colette and sells for $225. The white wristlet is $49.

The black background Balloon design comes in the Classic Satchel style with rainbow zipper for $220 and Drawstring for $225. The material for the black purses is a glossy finish unlike previous designs.

First, thank you so much for your patience with this contest – I knew I’d be out of town (in Walt Disney World!) for 5 days (along with quite a few of my readers too!) and wouldn’t get to post the entries I’d received. Now let’s get right to those entries and voting!

Voting will be counted by number of comments for each entry. Only one vote per email address please. Voting will start now and end on Thursday, October 7 at midnight. Voting has ended. The winner will be announced on this entry on Friday, October 8. The winner will then need to let me know which color wristlet they’d like and I’ll head to WDW and pick it up! Thank you to all who participated!

Congratulations to entry #2 from M. Turner for garnering the most votes. I think she got half the internet to vote for her! 😉 If you could contact me and let me know which wristlet you’d prefer (up to $49 in value) I’ll pick it up on our next visit to the parks. Congrats again!

There was some concern about votes since so many came in for one # at one time – but what you cannot see on this end of the post is the email and IP address attached to each comment, which appears in the email I receive with each comment. I do realize that this method of voting was perhaps a bit frustrating and will be working on a new way to vote for any future contests on ZannaLand – I had no idea how passionate you guys could be for a Disney Dooney! Because she came in second place and I personally loved her picture with Buzz and Woody fighting over the Dooney – I’m going to be sending the owner of entry #13 a $25 Disney Gift Card as well, so please let me know where to send that card. If there’s one thing most ZannaLand readers are passionate about (in addition to love of Disney of course) it’s the exciting Disney’s Dooney & Bourke collaboration. My good friend Amanda of DisneyEveryDay.com had the fabulous idea that I should ask people to show me their Disney Dooneys! I agreed that this would be a fun thing for fans to take part in – and thought I’d sweeten the deal by giving away a Disney Dooney & Bourke wristlet to the contest winner!
