I’ve just received some more photos featuring the Walt Disney World version of the Retro Collection from Dooney & Bourke and wanted to share them here. I’m pretty excited about this pattern. These bags, along with the Buttons and Charms collection, will be out later this year. I will post additional photos, styles and prices as I get the information.

NEW Disney Dooney and Bourke “Buttons” and “Charms” Bags!

Correspondent Nicole Siscaretti is experiencing Disney’s “A Summer to Remember” media event and sharing all sorts of news about “What’s New, What’s Next” at Disney Parks. I had to pause and share her latest photos – the all new Disney Dooney & Bourke “Buttons” collection and another new design – “Charms” from Courtney Williams. We’ve been waiting (im)patiently for the last month or so when we first heard about Buttons with the Disneyland Retro Collection, so without further ado, here are the photos! NEW Dark Brown Leather Disney Dooney & Bourke Sketch Design Bags

I was just given a heads up about this new Disney Dooney & Bourke style that has popped up in both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. Very similar to the dark brown leather Aulani Dooney & Bourke, which has been consistently sold out and extremely popular, this style features the original Cindy Sketch, in dark brown embossed leather design.

From what I have been told these are available at both Disneyland (Disney Clothiers and Vault 28) and Walt Disney World (TrenD and World of Disney). I will update with any further news on this design. What do you all think of this design? I think it’s a nice way to have some Disney fun, but keep it subtle!

NEW! Disney Dooney & Bourke Disneyland Retro Collection Debut & Signing

Dooney & Bourke collectors and Disney fans, the wait is over! A couple of new collections are set to debut May 12 at Disney Vault 28 at the Disneyland Resort.

First up, is the Retro collection, this new line will be available in a variety of popular silhouettes including a wristlet, mini barrel, tassel tote, satchel, letter carrier as well as an iPad case. Prices range from $78 – $268.

The Retro collection, which will remain exclusive to the Disneyland Resort, is sure to be hit with Disney guests. “The word ‘Retro’ is certainly the best and most accurate way to describe this collection,” says Susan Foy, Disney Design Group Graphic Designer. “From the attraction, character and icon choices to the distinct color palette, it really gave us a great opportunity to incorporate a lot of detail into such an intricate design.” I asked Susan what her favorite icon was from the print, and her response was simple, “Sleeping Beauty Castle, because it was created first and really set the tone for how the rest of it would lay out.” When it’s said and done, there’s almost something magical when you think about it that way.

Another collection debuting the same day on both coasts (at Tren D and Disney Vault 28) is “Buttons.” So make plans now to stop by Disney Vault 28 on May 12 and pick up some of this year’s must have accessories from Dooney & Bourke.

Special Note: Creative Director for Dooney & Bourke, Ian Ray will be on hand from 2pm – 5pm for a special appearance and signing of these new collections.

NEW EXCLUSIVE Disney Fantasy Inaugural Dooney & Bourke Bags-Gorgeous!

I think these might be my favorite designs yet. They are completely different from the front-and-center Disney designs we’ve seen in the past, and in fact, I think if people didn’t look closely, they might not even see that these are Disney branded. I love the almost tattoo-like designs for the Disney Fantasy. Hopefully some day I’ll make it on the ship myself to pick one up.

The new collection is making its grand debut on the Maiden Voyage of the Disney Fantasy later this month. The collection, which will remain exclusive to the Disney Fantasy until later this summer, is sure to be hit with Disney Fantasy guests. “The new collection will be exclusive to the Disney Fantasy until later this summer when it will spread to the rest of the fleet,” explained Laura Caszatt, product developer for Accessories. “To make the new collection even more enticing for Disney Fantasy guests, the select collection silhouettes on the Disney Fantasy will feature leather embossed luggage tags that showcases it was part of the Inaugural Disney Fantasy Voyages.”

In addition, the Disney Parks Blog revealed that a new line will be coming out for the Disney Cruise Line Hawaiian sailings. For those that want a subtle Disney theme with a more recognizably nautical look:

Disney World Princess Half Marathon Dooney & Bourke Bags!

2014 Edit: Here are the 2014 Princess Half Marathon Disney Dooney & Bourke bags!

UPDATE: I was just in TrenD last night at Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World, and was surprised to see a Princess Half bag on the shelf. I noticed there wasn’t a Princess Half Marathon hang tag on it, so we asked to see it up close and sure enough, it’s the same bag as below, without the special WDW Princess Half Marathon hanging charm. The cast member said they just arrived and as of last night, that was the only style they had in the Princess print. Interesting! Not sure if they just had a few left over or if they will be releasing all the styles in this print soon. I will of course, report more as I find out. Here are the photos I took last night:

They again feature a Half Marathon logo hanging tag like the Tinker Bell Half Marathon did. I love the college-look to the design and the color scheme as well. Tinker Bell Disney Dooney & Bourke Bags to Debut at Disneyland Half Marathon

Ok, now it’s bad enough that Disneyland’s inaugural 1/2 Marathon has a Tinker Bell theme and I will not be able to attend (or run for that matter!) but now DisneyParks Blog has just announced that a new Disney Dooney & Bourke bags with the Tink design will also debut for the weekend! Torture, I tell ya!

Here’s what we know so far:

It looks like there are three styles, all previously released – the Medium Tote will be $198, Letter Carrier will be $168 and Flap Wristlet will be $49. The Art of Disney Parks site notes that these purses will feature the special inaugural Disneyland 1/2 Marathon hanging tags – the green tag shown in the photos. This is the first time the name of an event will ever be placed on a Disney Dooney & Bourke bag. I personally love the design, and may have to contact my Disneyland pals to pick me up one! I may not be running THIS half marathon, but I will some day! 😉

Here is some new information about the bags:

My source tells me from their understanding they won’t be carried online at this point. They are also advising guests who are interested that they will need to wait until after the marathon to inquire with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Merchandise Guest Services at 1-877-560-6477 or send an email to: [email protected]

Disney Dooney and Bourke Mickey Comic Strip Design Bags

NEW Disney Dooney & Bourke Stripes Designs!

Those tracking Disney Dooney & Bourke auctions on ebay spotted these new styles this week. Thanks once more to Shelley C. for capturing these photos for us at Downtown Disney’s TrenD shop. Let’s see the newest Disney Dooney designs – the Gwenny Large Tote, the Large Erica and Zippered Wristlets in black and white, and red white and blue. They are canvas with leather handles and accents.

On the last Disney Dooney & Bourke Balloon Design post, I mentioned there was another style – a blue denim background with writing on it – the Erica style of Dooney & Bourke’s fabric line. Thanks in part to Tonya2426 on the DIS Boards, I am able to share some more pictures with you.

EDIT: I have now been to Tren-D again and seen these new designs in person so I have a bit more to add. I tried to capture this on the picture below, but the writing on these new bags is actually raised up and has a velveteen flocked feel. I didn’t realize that in all the other pictures, so I wanted to pass that information along to those making their lists and checking them twice with these new styles that keep coming out! 🙂

This style is definitely more subtly “Disney” while being graphically trendy. I’m not a big denim person, but I can see how this would appeal to lots of teens and those that want to show their Disney love without big Mickeys everywhere. What do you think of the new style?
