NEW Disney Dooney and Bourke HAUNTED MANSION Handbag

This just in from the Disney Parks Blog. Disney Dooney & Bourke and Haunted Mansion Fans rejoice! This newest design is sure to bring out lots of ghouls to line up and bring home this bag! It’s definitely the kind of ghost I’d like to follow me home! Ok, enough Haunted Mansion puns, on to the bags! Here’s the official scoop from the Parks Blog (all photos ©Disney):

I think Disney Design Group artist Mark Seppala did a wonderful job capturing the essence of the attraction with this new bag. I love the subtle details on the bag, including the spooky grey and black color palette with red interior, the infamous wallpaper pattern, and even the hang tag with the attraction logo.

The bag will have a retail of $330.00 (plus tax), and will be released at the following merchandise locations starting September 13, 2013.

NEW D23 Expo Disney Dooney and Bourke Purse Revealed

After the exciting news a few weeks back sharing some of the unique D23 Expo merchandise (including Disney Harvey’s Seatbelt Bags), today the Disney Parks Blog revealed the newest Disney Dooney & Bourke design, which will be for sale at the Disney Dream Store during the D23 Expo, August 9-11 2013.

This new design is in black and white, featuring Mickey and Minnie in classic animated form. The style will be available in the tassel tote, cross body and pouch styles. Edit: pricing obtained for the new styles! ~~No word on pricing yet, but hopefully they will be on par with the current designs out in similar styles. As I find out more info, I will share it here. Until then~~, enjoy the first look at this new style. What do you think? Will you be picking one up at the Expo?

2nd Ever Disney Dooney and Bourke Trunk Sale May 25!

Following up from my earlier post about the newest Disney Dooney & Bourke design coming out this summer, more details have been released. The new bags will be released on May 25th, along with the second ever trunk show of previously unreleased Disney Dooney designs! The last trunk show was lots of fun, and Ian Ray from Dooney and Bourke will be on hand to sign bags as well.

Here are all the details with some new photos, from the official Disney Parks blog:

…the merchandise special events team that a Dooney & Bourke release, along with a signing opportunity with Ian Ray, has been added to the calendar of events for May 2013!

Here’s a look at the new Dooney & Bourke Mickey Rainbow Letter Collection on four black silhouettes, including a large Pocket Tote ($295), Satchel ($195), Pocket Satchel ($260), and Tablet Sleeve ($90), which will be available as part of the release.

Tren-D in the Downtown Disney Marketplace at the Walt Disney World Resort will have all of these and more, on Saturday, May 25, 2013. What could be more exciting than the release of this new collection? What if I told you that on that same day, Tren-D is going to have a “Sample Sale” of some never released bags, and that Ian Ray will be on hand for a special appearance and signing opportunity from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.? It doesn’t get better than that! For those who are able to attend the release and signing, be sure to ask about a special gift with purchase. Tip: Be sure to get their early! Although Ian isn’t signing until later, the collection, along with the other bags, will be available at shop opening on the day of release.

If you like the collection, but wish it came with a white background, you’re in luck. For a limited time, beginning June 3, www.DisneyParks.com/Store will offer a Rainbow Collection Letter Carrier with a white background. But of course, it’s only available while supplies last. So don’t miss out.

Disneyland Paris Dooney & Bourke Retro Tote Bag Available Online

A friend online had visited Disneyland Paris over the summer and shared this adorable design, and now it’s available at the
DisneyStore.com. It’s kind of funny that they are using the “retro” design also used at Disneyland here in California and at Walt Disney World, since Disneyland Paris opened in 1991 and that isn’t exactly retro (I mean, I know I’m getting older, but it wasn’t THAT long ago that graduated high school 😉 ) No matter, it’s still a cute design, with bright colors and some favorite attractions at both Disneyland Paris and the Walt Disney Studios next door, in celebration of Disneyland Paris’ 20th Anniversary last month.

Which is why I did not get a Disney Cruise Line Dooney until I set sail on the Dream last November (I’d been on the Magic but that was before the Dooney’s existed!) and did not feel like I could get a Disneyland retro design until my first visit to Disneyland back in 2011. (I still didn’t get one, maybe this year will be the year!). How about you? New Disney Dooney & Bourke Design to Debut This Summer

I was honored to be able to attend Disney’s Monstrous Summer event last week, which revealed all sorts of fun news, including upcoming events and merchandise. Of course the first thing I had to share was the new Disney Dooney & Bourke design which so many have been ~~patiently~~ waiting for.

It looks as though right now there are three styles for this new design, which will be released this summer, hopefully soon! Pricing and the name of the design are yet to be revealed by keep checking back as I’ll update this post as I get more official info from Disney. Until then, enjoy the photos of the new Mickey and Minnie text design, with Mickey and Minnie heads in the familiar bright colors used on the black background styles :

And yes, those are the Disney Vera Bradley designs to the right, which will be out this September! To the bottom you can take a peek at the new Disney Ray-Ban sunglasses featuring a black and white Mickey Mouse print. We’ll have more info on the Ray-Bans as it’s available! NEW Disney Dooney & Bourke iPhone Cases

In my travels today, I saw these little beauties in World of Disney…the original Disney Dooney & Bourke Cindy Sketch featured in black or white as an iPhone case for the 4 and 4S. They are real cases that go over the front of the phone as well and not just the snap on the sides and leave the front exposed. Each case is $50.

The Tinker Bell Disney Dooney & Bourke Bags are perhaps the most asked-about designs of all the Disney Dooneys to date. I SO wish they’d release them as a regular bag as well, but until then, you can snag one by registering for the 2013 Tinker Bell Half Marathon at Disneyland – taking place January 19-20 next year. By extremely popular demand, runDisney has decided to re-release the commemorative Tink Dooney & Boourke purses that it sold for the inaugural Tinker Bell Half Marathon in Disneyland.

Purses must be pre ordered through Active.com by a registered participant. Only 2 bags per person. This should eliminate some of the issues from last year, where bags sold out in minutes!

20th Anniversary Walt Disney World Marathon Disney Dooney and Bourke Bags

Keeping up with the tradition of limited edition Disney Dooney and Bourke handbag designs for the Run Disney half marathon races, Disney has come out with a new design for the 20th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Marathon.

A blue bag with various Mickey Mouse silhouettes in different designs, this bag is less about racing icons and more about the Big Cheese himself. There is one version of Mickey in a running pose, which is what sets this design apart from previous Mickey designs. There will also be a special WDW Marathon hang tag as was on the previous RunDisney Dooney & Bourke limited edition bags. limThe pricing for the bags are: $280.00 for the Dooney & Bourke Satchel Purse and $200.00 for the Dooney & Bourke Letter Carrier Purse. The prices include tax and a non-refundable processing fee.

This time around Disney has gotten smart and set up the bags for pre-purchase at their active.com race registration site. There is a maximum 2 bag purchase per registration. Hopefully these new stipulations will ensure less eBay poachers and more fans of the bags themselves.

NEW Disney Dooney & Bourke Cruise Line Nylon Backpack

I was recently on the Disney Dream, (for the first time ever!) and of course, had to check out the Disney Dooney & Bourke options on board. The first night we were at sea and the stores were open, I got some photos of the Disney Dooney DCL bags but nothing jumped out at me as a ‘must-get’. Then, we were at Nassau and Castaway Cay for the next two days and the shops were closed tight. On our last day at sea, I sauntered back in and something caught my eye. The new nylon Disney Dooney backpacks which we’d seen a few months ago at the TrenD debut and meet-up, were in front of me – in the Disney Cruise Line Fantasy Inaugural design! This design was already my favorite, but it was hard for me to justify another bag when I rarely use something big in the parks, and the smaller sizes didn’t really show much of the beautiful design. This backpack called to me, however and I knew then, it had to be mine! 😉

Isn’t it adorable? It’s got a gorgeous hot pink lining too, with ample pockets inside. I just love the color palette and how it incorporates all the Disney Cruise Line ships of the Magic, Wonder, Dream and Fantasy, as well as little touches of things you’ll find on the ships. This is the same design from the Fantasy Inaugural, without the Inaugural hang-tag addition. It’s the perfect size for the parks and the non-leather straps and nylon fabric make it lightweight and easy to care for. I’ve used it in the parks only one time and was stopped by about 10 people telling me how adorable it was and how that was exactly the purse they wanted. Definitely a fun accessory!
