NEW EXCLUSIVE Disney Fantasy Inaugural Dooney & Bourke Bags-Gorgeous!

I think these might be my favorite designs yet. They are completely different from the front-and-center Disney designs we’ve seen in the past, and in fact, I think if people didn’t look closely, they might not even see that these are Disney branded. I love the almost tattoo-like designs for the Disney Fantasy. Hopefully some day I’ll make it on the ship myself to pick one up.

The new collection is making its grand debut on the Maiden Voyage of the Disney Fantasy later this month. The collection, which will remain exclusive to the Disney Fantasy until later this summer, is sure to be hit with Disney Fantasy guests. “The new collection will be exclusive to the Disney Fantasy until later this summer when it will spread to the rest of the fleet,” explained Laura Caszatt, product developer for Accessories. “To make the new collection even more enticing for Disney Fantasy guests, the select collection silhouettes on the Disney Fantasy will feature leather embossed luggage tags that showcases it was part of the Inaugural Disney Fantasy Voyages.”

In addition, the Disney Parks Blog revealed that a new line will be coming out for the Disney Cruise Line Hawaiian sailings. For those that want a subtle Disney theme with a more recognizably nautical look:

New Unique Minnie Mouse Ear Headbands-A Style for Everyone

Perhaps it’s because I’ve been deep in the action of defeating villains in the Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom game, but I hadn’t noticed these adorable new Minnie Mouse Ear headbands until yesterday, walking out of the park. I remember Steven Miller discussing the upcoming new designs back in September, but I guess they have arrived! Anyway, old or new, I thought they were pretty sweet and thought I’d share them here. It’s been fun to see girls wearing them in the parks, and they definitely make wearing ears cooler for a whole new demographic.

Which style is your favorite? I love the purple ones, but I love feathers too, so it’s hard to choose a favorite! Headbands were $19.95 at time of posting.

Things To Do With 24 Hours At Disney-One More Disney Day!

Tomorrow is the day we’ve all been waiting for – One More Disney Day, where both the Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World and Disneyland will be open from 6am Wednesday, February 29 through 6am Thursday, March 1. It sounds like a dream come true, doesn’t it? But then you may stop and think, well, what am I going to DO for 24 hours? I thought I’d put together some ideas to ensure the day, and night, and day again, is a memorable!

…

Find 24 Hidden Mickeys – look around, they’re everywhere!

Ride an attraction 24 times – not all attractions will be open for the full 24 hours so check before you head over.

Play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom – you know I will be!!

Create your own scavenger hunt – look for certain items (a crown, a star, a squirrel!), see who can find the most yellow things – the sky’s the limit!

Count the ghosts on Haunted Mansion – play in the queue!

Have 24 different snacks – popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, egg rolls, you can come up with 24, right?

For the hardcore snacker – have 24 Dole Whips! (or Mickey Bars, or snack treat of choice!)

Two performances of the Main Street Electrical Parade, at 10 p.m. and midnight

Four showings of “The Magic, The Memories and You!” at 7:45 p.m., 9 p.m., 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. (March 1)

The Frontierland Hoedown near Country Bear Jamboree, at 2:45 a.m., 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

Disney’s Dance the Night Away Party at Cinderella Castle, from 1 a.m. – 5:30 a.m.

Character greetings throughout the night, including:

Phineas and Ferb in Tomorrowland

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in Fantasyland

Mickey and Minnie Mouse in Town Square, wearing their pajamas for the party in Florida before heading out west to visit guests at Disneyland park

Most Curious (and CUTE) Disney Antenna Topper Ever!

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a new Disney antenna topper, but this one made me squeal with delight. (Literally, it was pretty embarrassing for my family.) Behold the Cheshire Cat antenna topper!!!

Disney World Princess Half Marathon Dooney & Bourke Bags!

2014 Edit: Here are the 2014 Princess Half Marathon Disney Dooney & Bourke bags!

UPDATE: I was just in TrenD last night at Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World, and was surprised to see a Princess Half bag on the shelf. I noticed there wasn’t a Princess Half Marathon hang tag on it, so we asked to see it up close and sure enough, it’s the same bag as below, without the special WDW Princess Half Marathon hanging charm. The cast member said they just arrived and as of last night, that was the only style they had in the Princess print. Interesting! Not sure if they just had a few left over or if they will be releasing all the styles in this print soon. I will of course, report more as I find out. Here are the photos I took last night:

Free Downloadable Demo of Disney Universe Online

A downloadable demo of Disney Universe is now available free of charge on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network! Players can jump in and swashbuckle their way through the game’s first world, based on the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and choose from four of the game’s 45 iconic character costumes, from Stitch, Mike Wazowski, Jack Sparrow, and even the classic Disney hero, Mickey Mouse

In addition to the downloadable demo of the game, consumers who are interested in getting a first-hand look at Disney Universe can also visit a participating Best Buy store beginning December 12. Select store locations will have an Xbox 360^®video game and entertainment system available for consumers to play the demo of the game.

Disney Universe offers a four-person multiplayer action experience, with frenzied gameplay that appeals to players of all ages. The game features 45 classic and contemporary iconic character costumes inspired by well-known and legendary properties, such as the Disney•Pixar hits WALL•Eand Monsters, Inc., Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Academy Award® winning classics, The Lion King and Aladdin. Fun New T-Shirt Designs at Disney Bring Smiles

Magical Day shirt — I think this is my new favorite. Sparkly, v-neck and a fun saying - perfect!

As you know, I love sharing merchandise that grabs my attention in the Parks, and Disney has really been pushing the envelope on creative t-shirt designs in the past year or so. Fans across twitter have appreciated the artistic, ironic, or self-deprecating designs that have come out recently.

I think the first time I actually laughed out loud at a Disney t-shirt, it was with these literal Mickey and Donald shirts. Now each time I enter a park, I find a shirt that makes me giggle or impresses me with its style. The Disney Couture line, along with Disney’s partnership with Hanes have led to some great new designs and I’m sure there are more to come. Here are a few of my favorites, collected over the last month or so:

Duffy the Disney Bear Passholder Exclusive T-shirt

Since first learning of Duffy the Disney Bear‘s popularity in Japan’s Tokyo Disney Sea, I’ve been a huge fan and supporter of his presence here in the US Disney parks. I love reporting on Duffy’s new outfits and special edition Duffy bears already in costume.

So of course I was in attendance today when 750 Walt Disney World Annual Passholders received a special t-shirt commemorating Duffy’s one-year anniversary in the parks here. Also part of this event was a Duffy book release and signing by the illustrator, Monty Maldovan. This new story book tells the tale of Duffy the Disney Bear and is sure to be a favorite around these parts. The illustrations are simply darling.

I’m continually amazed at what Disney gives back to its guests and annual passholders and today was no exception. Of course, the best part was walking through the door to my little guy and giving him Duffy’s new shirt and book. He was SO excited. As you can see, so were Duffy and friends:

Disney Dooney and Bourke Mickey Comic Strip Design Bags

Disney Cruise Line Fantasy Limited Edition Ear Hat & More New Designs

This morning, Disney Merchandise Communications Manager, pal, and all-around great guy, Steven Miller visited the local Fox station to share some of the fun 40th Anniversary merchandiseavailable at Walt Disney World. When I saw what he was sharing, I had to snap some photos and in turn share here. I’m sure there will be more announcements and better photos coming soon, but for now, enjoy what I snagged of the ol’ tee vee screen!

Haunted Mansion Ear band — I haven't yet seen this in the parks - but could this be a Haunted Mansion-themed Ear head band WITH a tiny hat? Come to mama! (I could be wrong, but either way, they look great!)
